Welcome to our Champion Page

This page is dedicated to every Munaut Standard Poodle that has acquired their AKC Conformation Championship Title as well as those that have earned obedience and performance titles. We want all of our puppies to know that we love them dearly and that even though some may not have been selected to stay with us to move forward with we believe they are ALL Champions at heart. Many of our dogs could have gone on to earn the title of AKC champion. Selecting the right puppy show prospect is often a difficult decision for the breeder. We are thankful that the rest of our babies are in great homes and cheering their sibling(s) on from afar!  We may also post any that are currently showing and on their way below as well as feature some of our extended family Champions!

About Ava

‘Ava’ was one of my two foundation girls I acquired from my good friend, Karen. My husband actually picked her out from the choice of either her or her sister, Amelia. We soon realized what a love bug she was and how perfect she would fit our family. I grew Ava’s coat out showing her along the way in UKC shows where she acquired a UKC BIS and finished her UKC title. Once we started in AKC shows she was owner handled by me for a few singles and then sent to Lacey Williams to finish. Ava was my first dog to show in AKC. We won points our third time in the ring together. You can see that photo of our first win below. My goodness we have come a long way since then! Ava was my first AKC Champion as well as for her breeder, Karen Green.

Ava was bred to “Tucker” CH Seacrest Sausalito which produced 12 beautiful puppies and in there my show keeper, Aspen. We also kept Aro who was co-owned with Karen, his owner Pam and myself. Ava resides with her wonderful family in Park City, UT. Her offspring have all seemed to share her same sweet and loving temperament. We will forever love and miss her but know she is loved by her special family.

Ava has been used in several SuperZoo grooming competitions since and her groomer, Lisa, has won some nice placements with her!

About Grace

‘Grace’ was our first Standard followed shortly by ‘Ava’. Grace was not required to be shown under my co-ownership agreement. We dabbled in one AKC show and then some UKC but then cut her down for breeding. After her first co-bred litter I felt that Grace was highly deserving of her AKC CH title. I decided to grow her coat back out. Eight months after having her first litter I had enough hair grown to show her. Our first time back in the ring I put her first 2 points on her just shy of a major.  That first show she was entered with her pup Geni and they took turns two of the days winning BOV. I continued showing Grace until I had her almost completely singled out then sent her to Shawn Clute. Shawn put a few singles and one major. Grace came back home to me needing one major to finish. I took her up to Roseburg, OR and finished her there the very first day. She was my second CH, first dog to put a major on, and first to finish with me in the CH photo. What a joy ride that was.

Grace has a very strong commanding presence about her and is highly intelligent. She has produced a long legacy of healthy, sound, intelligent and beautiful offspring. We continue to see her strong influence in her grand and great grand pups . We don’t know where we would be without Grace.  Thank you to my good friend and co-breeder, Karen Green, for her trust, love and long time friendship.  Grace was also shown in UKC and is a BIS winning UKC Champion.

About Geni

‘Geni’, CH Desert Reef’s Genesis At Redsage, was my 3rd Champion but first actual bred Champion. She is a lot like her dam, Grace, but possess some lovely qualities from her Sire, ‘Sterling’, too. Geni is a wonderful easy to live with girl that is just perfect in our opinion.

About Aro

‘Aro’ GCH Desert Reef’s Twiilight Going Uptown was my first bred Grand Champion and 4th Champion overall.  He is full littermate to ‘Aspen’ and finished before his sister did before the age of two. He was later fully grown back out after he had been cut down to go for his Grand CH! Many thanks to his loving owner Pam who made it happen! Aro currently resides in southern CA and is available at stud to approved bitches. He is producing very nicely! Aro is co-owned by myself, Karen Green, and Pamela Green.

About Aspen

‘Aspen’ CH Munaut Desert Reef Stand By Me was my fifth Champion overall, My 3rd Home Bred Champion and my very first CH to finish all on my own from the Bred By Exhibitor Classes. Aspen was an exceptionally showy girl that absolutely loved being in the ring…sometimes a little too much! She picked up her majors and a Group 3rd her first weekend out as an adult having only showed once as a young puppy. With very limited showing she acquired another major and a few singles and was done just like that! She also won a Bred By BIS in a large entry in City Of Industry, CA. Aspen is a very feminine and beautiful bitch. She has a heart of gold and is very obedient. She is very food motivated and she practically self taught to free stack herself after quickly learning she earned treats. Everyone would say, “You are going to have a lot of fun with THAT one!” They couldn’t have been more right.

About Gersey

‘Gersey’ CH Desert Reef’s Love’n A Gersey Girl was my 4th bred Champion and 6th overall Champion! She was out of my must have ‘London’ to ‘Grace’ breeding. She was the only female born out of a litter of three from frozen semen. She will always be that one puppy that I will never forget suctioning by mouth to clear her airway because my syringe wasn’t working and she wasn’t responding. I bonded to her from the get go. She ended up being a keeper but went to live with her co-breeder Karen and eventually with her owner Penny. She was finished rather quickly in her true blue color. She is a good combination of both her Sire and Dam. We are proud of our silly Gersey girl and look forward to what her future holds.

About Secret

‘Secret’ Ch Desert Reef Munaut 007 is my 5th Home Bred Champion and 7th overall Champion. Where do I start with Secret. How about from the whelping box. It was quite apparent from the get go that Secret was going to be a very special girl. She was often found cuddling somewhere with my husband and knew she was different. She is incredibly intelligent. As badly as we wanted to hang on to her we knew that she was best to be placed in a performance home. We couldn’t have been more fortunate to have received an inquiry from Becky Petrozzi about her. Becky showed Secret successfully herself for a number of points before she was finished by her handler, William. Secret is a fabulous girl and will soon be bred. She is currently competing and excelling in Agility Performance like we knew she would.

About Gucci

‘Gucci’ is my 8th overall Champion and my 6th Home Bred Champion. She is beautiful and refined with movement that just floats on air. She is from our ‘Breaker’ X ‘Grace’ breeding which was Grace’s 3rd and final litter. Three of her siblings were also chosen to be shown. Gucci is co-owned by Karen Green and Bruce Swift. She was exclusively handled by her owner Bruce and we are so proud to have seen them do so very well. She shall now be known as CH Desert Reef La Dolce Vita of Kotu.

About Samba

‘Samba’ Munaut Enrapture is currently out showing. She is a lovely petite package that took much more after her sire (GCH Jaset Dacun’s Heartbreaker) then her dam. She is from our ‘Breaker’ X ‘Grace’ breeding which was Grace’s 3rd and final litter.

About Arora

‘Arora’ Munaut Desert Reef Spellbound So Divine is a lovely girl sired by our ‘Aro’ CH Desert Reef’s Twiilight Going Uptown and bred by Denise of Divine Poodles in California. Arora’s dam is “Delila” CH Divine Faith. Arora is a happy, fun and upbeat girl. Watch for her in the ring as she has just started her show career.
